Connacht Collage Collective 2024 - Ongoing

‘A Young Understanding’ (2024) - Analogue Collage - Anthony D Kelly

The Connacht Collage Collective:

The Connacht Collage Collective is the first collage collective of its kind in Ireland. Originally founded in April 2024 by the artist Anthony D Kelly, kindly hosted on a monthly basis by the Linenhall Arts Centre, and is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Mayo Arts Service. The Connacht Collage Collective has been running for a year now and its been a real pleasure to host this vibrant community while watching it grow from strength to strength.

We are currently preparing our first project together and will celebrate our first birthday with a Big Paper Paste Party on May 10th which is also World Collage Day 2025!

Our monthly meeting is open to all regardless of skills or experience. It is intended to provide a forum, community and collaborative workspace for both established artists and the creatively curious. One of the great strengths of collage is that it’s easy to pick up and very satisfying to explore. Another is that it lends itself to meeting new people and working together.

If you are interested come along to learn, play, create and connect with collage as part of a supportive and welcoming artistic community. During the meetings, I share techniques and exercises to help develop your collage practice and to have fun while meeting a lovely group of people and engaging in the joy of making through this vibrant and varied medium.
